NX8.5 Assembly STEP 214 export issue

I am trying to export an assembly (70MB) to step 214. In advanced tab and checked mark “Export Assemly as external references” and selected STEP from the pull down menu to maintain assembly structure. However assembly is not exporting, process running for more than an hour and nothing exported.
