Greetings,

I have a sheet where I drafted with multiple parts in my assembly. When I open this file later, 2 of these parts are now not shown in the view, and I get the phantom red drafting lines because these are now disassociated to the detail it was once associated. The parts are in the tree, but I'm not sure how to make them visible in the view again. I've tried the Show Components In View, and when I click the view, it tells me there are no components to show?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brent

Ok, when I went into drafting, there is the little clock icon next to each sheet/view that I thought when clicked completely updated the views; however, I just went to click a view and up popped options, one was update, and this then populated all of the part files that were originally in the view.

All works as it should then ?

There is a customer default setting to delay the Update of the drawing views, make it require the manual initiation.
If this is off, NX will update all views as soon as you enter Drafting / Load that drawing file. In case you have large heavy models this is probably not desirable.
the difference between the drawing views and the model display is that the latter is done in the graphics adapter and the drawing views are processed by the CPU.
the graphics adapter is "a bit faster" than the CPU doing this.

Tomas
