NX8 BOM System improvements?

Any chance this has been upgraded? The Prog die & Mold packages had a nice BOM tool with a centralzed interface. It allowed you to pick parts and write all the attributes required for your BOM tables back to the parts without having to open them individually.

Sure would be nice to see something better in the base package!

Yes, I'm agree with you.
If John confirm that can be done, I will add an ER as you.
This tool is present in mid-range CAD system as Inventor, Solid Edge, SolidWorks.

As an NX8 user I guess you anwered my question... "no" BOM upgrade present in 8.

No changes of any significance to the Parts List function in NX 8.0, other than the indirect impact that the general Attribute enhanancements might have on being able to collect and access certain information easier.

Parts list hasn't changed but the attributes have. You can now apply attributes from the assembly to components without having them as the work part (see image).
