I am trying to use the face analysis tools in NX to analyse the smoothness of an aerofoil surface.

I have looked at multiple tools including "dynamic deviation analysis", "face curvature", "grid analysis" and "radius".

The one that I have decided is most relevant for my application is the face curvature tool, however when I turn off all the other analyses in the part navigator tree there is still an analyis graphic covering the aerofoil surface in the geometry window!

Is there a hidden menu somewhere that I cannot see that includes the "radius" command?

The reason I ask is because this is the only tool not displaying in the part navigator!

Otherwise is there a way to reset (turn off) all analysis tools used in an NX model, so that I can add just the face curvature?

Kind regards,

What you see is a display mode and not a object which could appear in the part navigator.
( No, that is not consistent with how other analysis methods work...)

Right click in the graphics window and select Display mode - Shaded with edges ( Display Mode was renamed into "Rendering Style" at some point in time.)
- The bottom line of that pull out has the option "Face analysis", - which is what you are looking at now.

Tomas

That is true that I am viewing the analysis in "face analysis" mode, however the issue is that multiple analysis results are showing on top of each other and I cannot find the object in the tree to turn off in order to view only the face curvature analysis!

It was the "radius" face analysis that I had to turn off.

NX would not allow me to deselect all faces but I was able to select a small face elsewhere in the model so the issue has now been avoided!

THANKS AS ALWAYS. [medal]
