As a warning, I know extremely little about pax files.

We have three pax files that when loaded through the palettes they will create tabs with the navigators section. When you look at those tabs, you will see a directory of components that all you have to do is click on them and it will add them to your assembly. It is a much quicker way to add common components and see pictures of them ahead of time to know what you are loading.

Unfortunately, we find these were created in 2013 and pull components from an old library. I will delete them if we have to, but if at all possible, I would like to edit them to pull components from the new library. Is this possible through UG?

If not possible, and I am forced to delete the pax files, is there any info out there on how I would create new ones?

pax files are not that difficult to understand, and edit.
I/ We can help you edit a few example lines such that the pallettes show the newer directory.

There might be a modern replacement though, and simpler to set up.
you are running with or without Teamcenter ?
NX Version ?

Have a look at Customer defaults -Gateway - Reusable
The syntax is ( as shown) "name of library displayed in NX"|"directory name"

Interesting. I didnt get an email this time that there was a reply. .... While waiting for the email to let me know, I have been playing around and figured some stuff out. I was coming here to list what I figured out and found there was a reply. lol

This is Native - NX9

I found that the actual .pax file, I needed to go to properties and uncheck "read only". Once I did that, I could go to the pallet it loaded and right click on one of the items and select edit. In the "Extended" tab, I can click on "Location" and give it a different file to load. Doing this, I can use the old items in the original pax file and make them load from the new library.
