NX9 redefine features in reusable object?

Is there a workaround to creating a new item/part when a feature is to be added to a previously defined reusable object/feature?

Can you tell some more on where how this reusable object resides ?
Teamcenter ?

Yes in teamcenter.

Workflow is as follows

1) Create x numbers of features in feature group.
2) Use Tools > Reuse > Define Reusable Object.
3) Set Feature as type
4) Select x features and group
5) Select Item type, assign item id and rev, change description and name
6) Select reuse library

Opening this new item it is possible to edit the features, remove features but i cannot figure out how to add more features that are included when the reusable object is inserted in another part.
