Hi,
I didn't have a chance to look better at NX8, so, please ignore this post if obsolete......
I believe that some Synchronous features (Copy and Cut Face, can be enhanced adding under Transform/Motion tab, the Dynamic tool (like Move Object has - see the attachments).
It’ll be easier for users and it’ll save time………..

While I can appreciate that I THINK you're getting at, when using the 'Distance-Angle' motion option, have you tried selecting an appropraite 'Distance Vector' option as well? I think you will discover that this will provide you most all of the capabilities that would have been supplied by a single, albeit more flexible, 'Move Object' style Handle.

Anyway, give it a try and let me know what you think.

Thanks John, but I can't use for the Copy Face more than a move on X,Y or Z axis direction. I need a combined move on at least 2 vectors (X+Z, Y+Z OR X+Y).
Am I doing something wrong?
I have created a Copy in NX model......Can you use it (move the Face 50 mm on X, Y AND Z, as a sample for my post?
Thanks

Then may I suggest that you use 'Distance' and under the 'Specify Vector', use the 'By Coefficients' method. If you wish to move say in the X+Y plane, enter vector 'coefficients' of:

I = 1.000
J = 1.000
K = 0.000

Or for a movement relative to all three directions, X+Y+Z, just set all the I/J/K vector coefficients to the same value (actual numerical value is not critical, just that they are all the SAME value however the SIGN of the number is critical), as I did in the attached modified version of your part file.

I got it!...
Selecting "None" in Copy/Cut Face (Synchronous modeling) would perform as "Dynamic"!

What are you trying to link?

I was trying to post a picture....like you did in this thread (please, see the black arrow in the attachment)
I do not have any information regarding the steps I should follow and didn't also want to bother people with such an insignificant request.....!

To be able to post a picture similarly to what John did in this thread,
You have to refer ( the link) to an image somewhere on the web.
Clicking the button "Picture" will embed the link such that a browser understands that it should "here" display that image from some web host.
I.e picture here:
header-logo.gif

( first time i did that , -seems to work :)

Tomas

Thanks, Toost!
(Where did you get the picture you used as a sample; what is its URL? How have you got it?)

download.aspx
]

I copyed/paste the link, but I still do not understand how you've created it's URL...........Should I understand that you created a file on the web?......

If you right click for example Johns image above, you will see the address: ( The right click options differ between browsers)
http: //i608.photobucket.com/albums/tt169/jbakersr/Copy-CutFacevectoroptions.png
( I added a space in the address such that it didn't get resolved as a link by the browser.)
John has uploaded the picture "Copy-CutFacevectoroptions.png" to the directory etc on the "Photobucket" web host.

Tomas

It's the file you posted on 13 Nov 12 11:48. If you click on the link in that post, a new page will open (engineering.com) with a link to your picture file. I copied the link to your picture file from this page and inserted it into the image tag.

As I understand it, engineering.com is a separate website that partnered with eng-tips to host uploaded files. You just have to copy the link they give you and use it at eng-tips.
