Hoping someone may be able to help.
My Company has been using the NXP 89LPC936 PLCC28 programmable micro for a number of years,
and it's only recently when we tried to re-order that we have discovered that they are a discontinued item.

This leaves us in a position of not being able to produce any of our controllers.
We have tried to purchase via aliexpress, but it became apparent that no one there seemed to actually have any of them,
despite twice having the money taken for the purchase. (We did get full refunds)

I did manage to source 250 units from another Chinese supplier, however none of these chips are recognisable to the Keil MCB9000 progranmmer that we have.
The hardware and flash magic software just don't recognise the chips. I know the hardware/software are okay, because I have one of the old chips left, and that
still programs correctly.

Does any one know perhaps where I can source some of these chips to help in the short term while we redesign the hardware, or is there a direct alternative to the 89LPC936 that we could use
in the interim.

Amy help would be greatly appreciated,

You were given fake chips in that last batch, most likely... probably some other cheap processor remarked for what you were after. That's the risk (one of, anyway) with aftermarket chip sales.

Now might be a good time to redesign the product... and if you need longevity, make sure you purchase a good stock of the chips this time aorund.

NXP still shows the basic part in production: Seems like an adapter board could be made.

Or, it appears that a smaller version 89LPC935 is available in an LCC28, so if you're not utilizing all of the 936, that's a possibility

The TSSOP package still seems to be available, however it's the PLCC 28 that we need.
I've tried to find a sales contact link to NXP but can't seem to find one.
Contacting NXP direct is the only thing I haven't done.

Thanks for the help.
