NYLON COATING PLEASE! 1

Dear all,

I would like to know the process of nylon coating.Is the base material important for this type of coating?The job is a ductile iron pipe which has to be nylon coated all over to a thickness of 450 microns.Is it similar to powder coating?I would be very gratefull to anyone who can give a favourable answer.Thanks in advance!
