Hi Everyone,

I was asked at work to find out about a Fischer Porter device, which I was told was a liquid flow measurement device. My initial Google and ABB-website searches have yielded nothing helpful, so I was wondering whether anyone could point me in the direction of some documentation about the device:

Fischer Porter
s/n: 8802B2017/2/B1
Model: 50PZ1211C1X2
Supply: 120 V, 60 Hz, 50 VA
1-31' sec input
4-20mA dc output

range ft/sec (4 digit thumbwheel switch - used to specify some sort of setpoint?)

Bottom of unit has four threaded (female) openings for conduit. Printed on the bottom left of the front face (protective cover removed) is a label, "MagX".

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Richard Byrne.

4 MA output is 0% of the adjustable range.
20 ma output is 100% of the adjustable range.
range ft/sec will be used to set the flow value that you want to correspond to 100%
It may have a fixed zero or there may also be an adjustment for zero.
If the maximum expected flow rate is 4ft/sec you may set the range to 5ft/sec,
If the device is used with a chart recorder, range would be set and the system would be calibrated so that 100% would be at a value that standard charts are available for.
Sorry I can't help with documentation.

Btw you may have better luck in the Control Systems engineering forum.
