Odd group issue

In my model tree I have been having odd issues regarding grouping import features. If I select an import feature along with other features I do not get the right click option to group, the edit menu option to group, and mapkeys assigned to create groups will not work.

I originally assumed that Pro/E did not allow for grouping of import features, but I realized today that if you create a group then edit the groups definition, you can then add the import feature to the group after the fact.

Does any one have any insight on this issue? Is there a way to create a group with an import feature skipping the edit definition step?

Even odder, if I use edit definition to add an import feature to a group I then cannot drag other features into the group. If I try I get an error stating "Can not include imported features in a group," however the group remains intact.
