I read somewhere that an individual used an 50-70 Kv. ignition coil to fire a maggie. Is this possible? If so how would it be
wired and would it need the same type cap used in a microwave. Also read about someone who used an aircraft strobe to fire one. ANY help (both pro's and cons) would be Greatly appreciated!

however you do it, be careful, not only can you loose the family jewels so to speak, you can also loose your eye-sight. you won't know about either until long afterwards.

A magnetron is not a toy, inspite of the advice one finds on the internet.

Thanks for the heads up. I am commited to proper shielding!!
