Hi Guys,
We have 4 bottles of odourant on site. Nitrogen blanketing line is supplied with 100 KPag to each bottle. The distance between bottles to the odourant cabinet where 4 high pressure pumps are, is nearly 3 meters. Recently we had the problem of pump lock due to vapour existence in the line. The odourant supply piping is flexible hose and 3/8" ss tubing. Can anybody advise what is the problem? Is there potential the nitrogen dissolve in Odourant? What should be the nitrogen pressure? Is the flex. hose good for this application?

hello,

I assume the vapor pressure of the odourant is high, did you check the NPSH Available versus the Required?
