I am looking for a company that can provide service on a six year old Metorex ArcMet 930SP optical emmision spectrometer. The burns produced by the unit seem weak (for the lack of a better disciption) and the resulting assay analysis is inconsistant and does not match the metal being analyzed.
The case of the probe is cracked, indicating it was dropped, possibly resulting in damage to the optics.
I contacted the original distributer of the instrument and they gave me a rediculously high quote and said it would have to be shipped overseas. This is not an option.

If the quality of burn is poor,it might mean that the argon gas used is impure or if there is a preheater through which argon gas is passed is not working. There can be gas leakage in the burn chamber resulting in improper burn.Else, the arc struck is a weak one.

If you can locate some in India, you could get the spares t a reasonable price.OEs are always too expensive for spares.

Learn the rules,so you know how to break them properly.
