Not sure which is the best software but we use ASPEN Capital cost Estimator while accounting for CAPEX in our field development projects in Oil & Gas (I think the latest version is 9.0). The CAPEX thus estimated is comparable to actual CAPEX incurred on other "live" projects or completed projects when becnhmarked against them.

very thanks , there is anther software like QUE$TOR ,HD Estimating & NetCo$ter

Yes Kald you are right :). There are many in the market and hence that poses a challenge as to which one is good or better than the rest.

I worked on QUE$TOR before in another company previous to this one. I thought their software was also good i.e. giving a "realistic" picture of the actual estimated CAPEX on the projects. The other thing is that personally I prefer the "user friendliness" of ASPEN Capital Cost Estimator as compared to QUE$TOR and as I said earlier ASPEN Capital Cost Estimation software is the official capital cost software for the company that I work with currently.

There is a website which rates various oil & Gas business software. The link to it is as follows:

It has a huge list of such software with user reviews and ratings. Check it out :)

Cheers
