We have some 6.6 k machinery that has 15 kV EPR insulated jumper cable inside, used as short interconnections. We want to pressurize/ventilate the equiment with instrument air which will have some oil content. EPR is not great with oil (rated fair to good by cable manufacturers). Does anybody have any experience with this type of situation? Oil immersion is clearly not good with EPR, but oil suspended in air is different. And what concentration in the air will cause harm, both short (1 year) and long term (10 years). We'll use a filter on the air supply, but no filter is 100% effective.
