Just have a quick question regarding whether or not the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. I work for a pipeline operator in an Operations Support role doing pressure relief design, pump selection and general engineering support. I somewhat feel that continuing to gain technical expertise will not be rewarded and there is more oppurtunity for personal satisfaction and profit on the consulting side. Am I making a huge mistake with this line of thinking?
