Hello Friends,

Got a question for you:

I have two underground oil water separators. Each has 2 vents.
I was wondering, can I close or cover them up?
It's a safety concern. A workers foot can get trapped, it's 4'' diameter openings.

Thanks.

Best Regards

Hi,
Poor design with No safety review. You can install a grid or gratings to prevent people's injuries . Keep your equipment breathing .

May consider to add a piece of pipe from the ground up as atmospheric vent for a safety vent.

Keep your equipment breathing. Install stanchions with chains around the oil separators.
