Old Motor Frames

We have a couple of older motors for which we are redesigning supports. The main issue being we have been unable to find dimensions for the frames (bolt holes and shaft position).

The motors are the following:

Westinghouse: 125HP, Frame 506-US, S#66F34949 (built in 1966)
Siemens: 125HP, Frame 5005(500S?) Type M, SO#X327187A2-M

The manufacturers don't have this info readily available any longer and they are not listed in current NEMA frame tables that we have.

Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.

Cant you just take a measuring tape to them?

We have done so for the bolts as best as we could, but would like to verify since we're probably not within 1/8" accuracy.

We are unable to measure the shafts positions.

Thanks for the link! Those dimensions match or are really close to what we've measured.

I mistakenly said Siemens but what I meant was Reliance. Still the same frame number though, and I'm not sure about the year on this one... It's an older motor as well.

Ah, that explains it. I work for Siemens and nobody I talked to recognized that motor designation.

Reliance's motor group is now owned by Baldor, did you try them? They have a lot of very good technical people who have been around the block, someone can probably identify that frame for you.

Jraef, sorry about the confusion. I did try a local Baldor representative and they just got back to me with an answer. It is a motor produced around 1970 w/ frame 5005 type M. They checked on the SO#, verified frame type, and sent us drawings. They were very helpful.
