I have a late 1960's building that has a bearing wall made of light gage steel studs. The drawings call out the steel studs as: either 362 DS 16 PUN studs OR 362 DS 15 PUN 'DL' studs. The renovation calls for some modifications and am trying to find more information on these studs.

I have verified the studs are 3 5/8" (362) and I am assuming the 16 is for 16gage and 15 is for 15 gage (even though I have never heard of never heard of 15 gage). Nor have I heard of the PUN (possibly the manufacturer) or 'DL'. One more piece of information these old studs are red ('red iron' steel studs).

If anyone has an old catalogue of these studs and maybe headers that would be awesome.

Thank you,

Rich

I would measure the thickness and dimensions and try to match them up with something current if you cannot find anything.
