I am trying to open files with Inventor 10 pro but created with Inventor 9 pro but get the following message:- The following location(s)in your project are currently unavailable. If you continue opening the file, you may experience significantly slower performance than normal.

The files open ok then, if I save the file, then re open I still get the same message.
Any ideas????

I believe that it is looking for a custom fitting or pipe style that you created. R9 saves it to a different default location than R10 I think.

In R10 all the fittings were rolled into the content center, and publishing them (along with library file locations) changed a bit. I haven't had to do any significant work on R9 piping files since the move to R10 so I can't tell you exactly how to fix it....but I figured I would give you a starting point.

Cheers DesignerMike for the fast response, thing is though the files in question have been modelled with R9 ie shafts, flanges & clamps etc, but they are not from the content center or from any library...
Cheers

I have also gotten this error with mis-placed .bmp and .jpg files that are used as decals. When you first make the part, IV doesn't really care where they are, but with migration it will forget the location (or you accidentally moved them).

They may also be linked to a spreadsheet that got moved or changed?

Just a couple possiblities... can't think of any other easy options that would let the file open.
