Optical quality plastic components 1

Does anyone out there have experience of optical quality injection moulded plastic component design and manufacture. I am having problems achieving good quality - i.e. component without macroscopic distortions - component is a hemisphere of 5mm wall thickness and an internal radius of approx 50mm. Are there any hard and fast do's and don'ts that I should be aware of? <br>
