I am currently working on a project utilizing 60-300psi steam to power a Terry type turbine that will operate in a 1,000-7,000 rpm range. (looks like a water wheel that powered the old water mills). Space limitations dictate overall diameter to 11" and blade width 2". Blades to be made from 1/8 material with no curvature. I am leaning to 37 blades placed 45deg from tangent with a root dia. of 10".Any thoughts as to potential improvement regarding # of blades, angle, and root dia. would be much welcomed. Is the use of a prime # of blades a hard and fast rule or is there some flexibility in this area? --------Phil
