Hi,
I work as a die designer for stamping/drawing stainless steel parts. The punch, the die support or base and the blankholder support, are fabricated from casting parts plus machining.
We also use BRONZE ALUMINIUM castings for such die and blankholder components which are in contact with the stainless steel blank.
I'm trying to get the best, in terms of performance, surface quality for those BRONZE-ALUMINIUM die blankholder components.
The target for those BR-AL components are:
1. Regular and uniform wearing
2. Good lubricant distribution
3. To permit a robust final result on stamped/drawn parts
The surface quality is defined by its section that could be mesured in terms of rugosity and it will depend on the machining parameters and tools used.
Any recomendations? Thanks a lot in advance...
