Is there a way to change the options defaults without using templates?

If I create a new part or drawing without going through a template it always defaults to ISO in the document options and custom units. Can I change this default without having to make a template? I would think you should be able to.

When you create a new part or drawing, SW always uses a template file. All you have to do is edit and resave that default template file, or change your default to a different template.
