OT: How much is MoldFlow?

OK, I've had outside help with mold flow analysis before and have tried the new MoldFlowXpress in SW2005, which just like the COSMOSXpress is neat but I need more. I've placed a call to my VAR, only to find out they sold out and I've got a new VAR in my area, which doesn't sell MF, but can forward my name to MF.

Can anybody give me a range of what MF costs? Do they have standard pricing like SW or everything is top secret?

You say you need more. What more do you need with MoldFlowExpress? More detail would be helpful to us to help you.

Although we manufacture injection molded pumps of PPO and PP, we are looking into other plastic injection methods, namely RTM (resin transfer molding). MoldFlowXpress is limited to certain materials and processes (typical IM plastics and temps), while MoldFlow has add-on modules to emulate the issues with low pressure injection (like gravity, glass mat reinforcement, etc).

MoldFlowXpress does not do this, and I realize we are in the minority with respect to this need and couldn't expect it to be in the Xpress package.

Moldflow Express was dissappointing to me in that it does not allow for multple gate locations, IE 4 drop hotrunner pinpoint gate. I had my hopes up on that one. Looks liek you have to have the top of the line (read expensive) product to do multiple drop hot runner systems.

Yeah, davidinindy, but I really didn't expect much after seeing the COSMOSXpress in the prev. release (similar limitations). All I want to know is just how expensive is the "top of the line" program. Still no call from MF.....
