i am trying to get other plastic linner for foundry sand aplications in silos, chutes, bins.
the foundry sand is a mix of silica sand, bentonite and marine coal. this mix is very stick and the linners of uhmwpe dont work well.
i am try with teflon bonded but its expensive and it has a low wear resistance.this teflon work very well for antistick propierties and promote the flow of this mix sand.
i am try to found other plastic or resin linner with the wear resistance of uhmwpe and the very low fricction coeficent of teflon. ¿somebody know other linner sistem with this propierties?

There are a few options to get a material with the specifications you want, low friction of PTFE and the wear-resistance of UHMPE. Check the properties of ZEDEX 530 from Wolf Kunststoff-Gleitlager in Germany. They do have documentation in English as well further more you can look at the PTFE compounds like PTFE filled with PEEK or PI for a better wear resistance and a low static- and dynamic friction.

I have had very good sucess with UHMWPE as a lining material for equipment in a green sand foundry. Do you use shakers or vibratory devices on your tanks? This was something that we thought we could eliminate by using liners but couldn't. Our first tank that we lined with 1/4" UHMWPE was in service for 12 years and the lining still looked good. The other critical factor is the angle of the sloped sides of the tank. We made our tank sides 30 degrees (from vertical) wherever possible. If we went shallower than 45 degrees we always had to add the vibrators. But with the UHMWPE getting the material to move with the vibrators was no problem. Moisture content, as you are probably aware, is a critical item with green sand systems. If the sand is getting too moist, it is almost impossible to keep it from sticking to everything!
