When I am designing jigs and fixtures I like to show the item they are being used on sitting inside the fixture in an iso view. In drafting Is there anyway that I can show the item as dashed lines while the fixture is solid lines.
In other words, an isometric assembly view with one part dashed lines and the other parts solid lines.

Thanks in Advance

You can use View Dependent Editing to change the font of individual curves or you can use Render Sets to control the appearance of entire objects on a view-by-view basis.

Thanks John, I will have a look at this today. Hopefully I'm not back with a lot of more questions.

Hi, I have managed to do this using view dependent edit but the only way I can get it to work is by clicking each of the lines of the component individually. Is there a way that it can be done with one click so to speak?

That is what Render Sets allow you to do, modify the appearance of an entire Component.
