Output choke selection for VFD run induction motors

can anyone help me how to select the correct output choke rating for VFD/ motor/ cable combination ? I presume the choke will have to be rightly selected to cancel the cable capacitance effect, is there any formula or a thumb rule ?
In Smaller motors ( < 10HP) with a longer cables (> 150 mtr) this can help in selecting the right location of equipments.

One place to start may be application literature from some reactor manufacturers.

Common ratings in the US are 3% and 5% 3ø reactors, but it’s important to determine how they mesh with your specific installation.
 
Motor side reactor is used to avoid dtanding waves.
Wave length is calculated using the VFD-CABLE-MOTOR LCR circuit time constant and the harmonics frequencies.
The reactor is designed to carry the inverter output current with minimal voltage drop, and to withstand power (loss) dissipation.
Manufacturers offer the correct reactor per VFD, so you may skipp calculation and use product selection table(s).
