Hej,
I'm a beginner working with Abaqus. I want to optimize the layer setup of a carbon monocoque for a racing car. To use the interface to our optimization program (Xopt) I need a text file with the nodal reaction forces at four points (to gain the torsion stiffness of the car) in a small table.

I was reading pages and pages in the manuals finding the right approach to solve this problem. Have I to use Python or can I use specific commands in the .inp file?

Thank you very much for any help
Markus

Recommended for you

check the *NODE PRINT command. it will output tabular data to the .dat file.

If you are applying displacements you will want the output variable identifiers: RF1, RF2, and RF3. These are your reaction forces in the 1,2, and 3 directions.
