Hi,

we have an outside 125 V DC pannelboard with CSA certification with a lot of rust. We would apply a coat of paint mainly to improve its aesthetics, but some questions arose. Are we losing the CSA certification and is that there is a standard that can direct us in the method to use?

Thanks

What does the inside of the panel look like?
What do the handles, locks, panel insulation and seals look like?
What do the cords and cables look like? Scarred, bare wires, burnt insulation or stripped or cracking insulation or conduit covers will fail spec's. Outside panel rust - unless it goes through - is not as great a deal.
Are you worried about painting over the certification lettering?
