Over Ride Quantity Parameter

Does any one know if and how the quantity for a component can be overridden in Catia V5? I have a situation where I know the quantity of the component but placement is best handled in the manufacturing environment. I would like to show 1 component but have the Quantity for that component tied to a parameter value I can control. Any Suggestions?

I'm not sure how the Quantity is currently being defined and processed.

But, you could make your own parameter for Quantity, and then make change the number to whatever you want.
