Hi everyone,
I am trying to find a material to use in a new application and thought you may be able to help me. I am looking for and elastomer with a durometer of 70 - 80 shore A. I also need this material to bond with nylon and be able to go through an autoclave process and not lessen the bond between the materials. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Yanish,

Try a medical grade of Santoprene.
You may have to texture the surface of your nylon part to get the Santoprene to bond. If the Nylon part has thick sections, you can actually direct Santoprene into that area using a pin gate. This will cause a strong bond since the hot flow of the Santoprene will melt the Nylon enough to cause a bond.

CAUTION: if the wall thickness is too thin, the Santoprene will penetrate through the Nylon.

LIve Aloha
