Oversize Correction factor for Coarse particles in a Standard proctor test

In the formulas for oversize correction, are you supposed to use Bulk Specific Gravity, or Bulk Specific Gravity (SSD). What does Bulk Specific Gravity (oven dry) mean? (is over dry equivalent to SSD?)

Sorry, I meant to say "oven dry", not "over dry".....

refer to ASTM C127 and C128

SSD is saturated surface dry, meaning that the pore spaces in the particles are filled with water, but the outer surface is dry

Randymel, a bit late on this but: you should use bulk Gs (oven dried) for the oversize correction. The only industry (to my knowledge) that utilizes the Bulk Gs (SSD) is the concrete industry.
