Does anyone have any data relating to oxide growth kinetics on martensitic stainless steels?

I'm trying to determine a crack age for a piece of stainless steel - the crack has a thin oxide layer on it, and given the operating temperature and the assumption of constant/uniform operation, I'd like to be able to come up with an approximate time whe the crack initiated.

I've done similar calculations for low alloy creep resisting steels - wondering if similar data exists for martensitic SS?

Regards

There is a report (for free) from the NPL (web site below) - National Physical Laboratory in the UK that might be of interest to you -I have downloaded a copy myself because I deal with 12 Cr materials in large steam turbines.

A summary of the report is below;

Title: Oxidation of alloys in steam environments - a review.

Abstract: Traditionally materials designed for use at high temperature have been developed primarily for their mechanical properties but there is now a growing realisation that oxidation may limit lifetime. The purpose of this report is to review existing information regarding oxidation of alloys, which are intended for use at high temperatures, under atmospheres containing steam or high water vapour content and to identify areas where more understanding is required.
