Oxygen in field boosters

Just wondering if someone has any experience with gas boosters and knows of ways that oxygen can enter into the system (other than leaking flanges)

This is a natural gas field with 25-125 psi low CO2, 2-15 m3/d and poor flow rates
 
Possibly through the seals when there is very low flow!! Is there a seakl gas provision from the discharge? If not provide one.
 
Other than vacuum systems, we foud that the well operators had bad practices when recommissioning their equipment. Heaters were shutdown for repair and not purged of air afterwards. Flow lines drained and again, not purged of air. On and on with heater treaters, field boosters...
