Dear all

Please let me know if there is a better forum for this topic.

I am interested to know what would be the power consumption of an Oxygen plant. Similar size to what is used in hospitals. It would be most useful if someone could let me know the Power usage per unit mass of oxygen for example KW/Kg.

Thank you in advance.

First, it would have been better to ask this question in the Cryogenic forum here.

What do you mean by "similar size to what is used in hospitals"?

I'm not sure, but I think for a recent oxygenplant, the specific energy consumption will be around 0,69 kWh/Nm3.

Do you mean 0.69 kWh/m3?

I mean 0.69 kWh/Nm3

Nm3 = Normal Cubic Meters

A rule of thumb I use for a cryogenic plant is 345 kW-hr/ton of oxygen (at about 95% purity)
