I was hoping someone could point me to the correct P&ID symbol/symbols to be able to show what we refer to as a "Fire Safety Valve" which is an isolating valve with a fusible link.

The valves are to be mounted at the bottom nozzles in the feed and discharge of various 10,000 BBL storage tanks located within an existing storage terminal tank farm.

The Fire Safety Valves shown on the existing P&IDs are just shown as normal valves without any form of actuation or fusible links and these will be updated with the correct symbol once I confirm what it is.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not real current in my P&ID knowledge, but I hope I can be of some help. Try ISA standard ISA-S5.1, or do some online searching and email a manufacturer or 2 for their help.

As you can see this particular forum doesn't get a lot of traffic, but best of luck.

Me wrong? I'm just fine-tuning my sarcasm!

Under 6.6 temperature, ISA shows TSE for a fusible plug. If you don't find something for the fusible link on the valve, reference a note next to the valve and explain in the P&ID notes.
