Pack and Go in SolidWorks Explorer

The Pack and Go function in SolidWorks Explorer has quit working. The Rename and Replace functions are working fine, but Pack and Go has just quit working. One by one the users in my office have lost the Pack and Go function in SWX Explorer. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? My SWX support doesn't seem to know.

What version of SolidWorks are you on? Do you get an error message? If not, what happens?

We are using 2009. When you select the pack and go icon, no error messages appear. Nothing happens. It just does not respond.

Where there are multiple users, are your installs done individually or via an admin image? Have there been any system changes lately, whether locally or network (Windows updates, server updates, etc)? Did your VAR submit an SPR?

If your installs are individual, try running a repair on the install. It's possible that some system update corrupted a dll file.

Our installs are an admin image (sort of...more complicated). We get Windows updates on a daily basis and I am beginning to think that this may be the problem since it is hitting us one by one. My VAR to date hasn't submitted an SPR. He has made suggestions to fix the problem, none of which have worked. I was just checking the forum here to see if anyone has had this problem.

Where your VAR's suggestions seem to not be helping, I would tell them to submit an SR ASAP.

A work-around: I had the same problem - if you just go to open up the part, without the drawing, you can go to SolidWorks Explorer and Pack and Go from there - but yeah, submit an SR to your VAR.
