If I pad a full 90-ton chlorine tankcar with 100 psig Nitrogen to a process, when the tankcar empties (bottom diptube), will there be Nitrogen present immediately in the gas sream? Or since Cl2 is heavier than N2, will Cl2 gas still be expelled until the partial volume is exhausted? If so, how much Cl2 vapor remains?

Check your vapor pressure of Cl2. Roughly 100# at 70F. So unless your cylinder is chilled you wont get much nitrogen into a chlorine cylinder.
