paint to mark steel

Does anyone know of a paint that can be applied to automotive parts (low carbon steel) that requires no metal prep ? The paint would have to adhere long enough to act as a identification for line assembly workers. The steel parts will be clean enough to handle but we can not afford to prep the part prior to paint marking.
