Hello Everyone

We are currently using Excel for our Panel Schedules and pasting them into AutoCad, and it works great. Helps with the calculations and easy to update the only problem is when we make PDFs it gets stuck in the spool and either won't print or it will make CAD Crash.

Is there any program or anything that people are using to do Panel Schedules on that can be used with Cad?

Thanks for your time.

I just wrote my own program to run inside AutoCAD.
Thus when I "insert" the schedule it creates it with AutoCAD entities rather than ole objects or whatever. Much smoother, much faster and no printing issues, with the added benefit that I could format the schedule however I pleased

I use VOLTS from Dolphins Software. The panel schedules are fully customizable to user defined attributes, i.e. watts, kW, kVA, Amps, etc; it even automatically calculates phase load balancing and the unbalance current on the neutral conductor. VOLTS includes a conductor and raceway database which eliminates all effort in the “information management” of the electrical design process. Simply enter a device name for the circuit, enter the appropriate load, voltage, phase, distance, conductor type, raceway, ambient temperature, etc. from the drop down lists and the program will automatically calculate the correct wire size to accommodate voltage drop, and other de-rating factors. A second “click” will automatically size the raceway. Print the report or DXF the schedule and reports to AutoCAD.
