I have recently purchased a new machine at home with a wireless mouse. I noticed that the mouse does not seem to have the same response time as my wired USB mouse at work. For this reason I switched out my wireless at home with a wired. Everything seems to be working ok with the mouse except for panning with the scroll wheel. It seems that if I am zooming in or out and then quickly try to pan it does not activate the command on the first click. It almost always seems to grab on the second click. I have tried two different mice with the same result which leads me to believe that it is not them.

So here are my questions. First is there a setting somewhere that could be controlling this sensitivity? Second is there a specific mouse that AutoDesk recommends for optimal performance. I checked their web site with no luck.

Thanks in advance!

Middle mouse control is "sensitive" in AutoCAD. I have to tweak mouse driver settings and then set/unset the MBUTTONPAN variable to get what I want. Try the mouse parameters in Control Panel and experiment. It seems MS mice and Logitech are different. If you have another brand, it may have some other issue even. Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I will give it a try.

In order to get panning and zooming working right, I always have to uninstall the software that come with logitech and Microsoft mice.
Mouse always functions correctly after I do this.
