Hi,
Here is a simple tip that makes it easy to spot missing parameter information in models. It's called the "Parameter Master List". What it is, is an additional drawing sheet that has a repeat region showing all of the model parameters, drawing names and numbers etc. used in an assembly. For example; if your drawing title blocks are driven by model parameters,a quick look at the list will indicate whether or not all of the driving parameters have been filled in correctly - this can save time and red ink in the drawing check department. The best part is you can edit any parameter, for any model present in the assembly - right from the list!
For a detailed explanation please see:

We have just started using this system with very good results - Unfortunately though, I can not take credit for creating this technique.

cheers,

JW

There is another nice method for doing this.

In your model tree, show columns, in type go to model params, use the arrow keys to transfer all parameters across.

It's best to do this in the top level assembly as you can copy and paste parameters from models to other models. You can also use this to create parameters provided they appear in the top level model. Great way to add a new parameter to all the parts in an assembly!

Thanks Hayden,
Had no idea that you could edit parameters from the model tree in an assembly. I usually print out the partially completed master list and send it to the our Department Manager - he assigns part and dwg numbers. Now that I know about the model tree edit, I will probably work from there - before the first assembly drawing is started.

Thanks again,

JW
