Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to parameterise stress linearisation results in ANSYS APDL?
This would be so that I could use an optimisation routine. So could I create a parameter PM into which I then place the maximum membrane stress from my stress classifaction line.
I had thought that I would be able to use a *get command with a path entity but this doesn't seem to be the case. Does anyone know if this is possible and how to do so?
Many thanks
George

Maybe create an array with the *DIM command, then load the path data into it with the PAGET command, then get the maximum value with the *VSCFUN command.

Thanks, the PAGET command doesn't seem to work with stress linearization results. I think it might be because the stress linearization is not mapping a single variable onto the path like a normal path operation.
I'm trying to output the results to a text file and then selectively read in the bits I want. The /header and /page commands do not seem to work wit the PRSEECT commnand and I can't remove the headings. I think I'll have to investigate the *vmask command to read in the bits of the text file I need.
Thanks
George
