Hi guys, I'm relatively new to UG, I was wondering if someone could talk me through how to take a model which is scaled up from another model, fully parametrize that scaled model, and then create me own copy (manually) of it

What version of NX are you on?
Fully parametize? probably not, but it depends on the model, some things can be parametized, and some not.
A copy: either STEP or parasolid works fine.

Is the parent model parameterized?

Rather than just leave you wondering I think what we should say is that scaling of models whether uniform or independently in the XYZ axes can be achieved parametrically using the scale body function.

That functions works I for bodies but not curves. And whether the model is parametric or not. So a typical workflow might be to wave link the body from you parametererised original model and then just add scale to it.

I doubt the OP is coming back... he has only logged on one time and that was his only post.
Good answer, though!
