Parameters

Can anyone give me a good basic description of what a parameter is? How it is used? How relations and Parameters are related? I am looking into using them for one of my class projects, but I can't find any good resources telling me about how to use them.

I would start by using your help within Pro/E. I use parameters to pass information to drawings, assemblies and even relations within the part. I would check the links in this forum and do some reading.
