I haven't found the answer in the help, so here goes:
Is it possible to use the parameter for the number of instances in a pattern within a dimension in a drawing in Solid Edge?
For instance, if I were to dimension a drawing of the attached part with the width of the spokes shown as, for example, '6.3 TYP 8 PLACES', then I changed the model to have only 6 spokes. Could I use the pattern parameter in the model to drive the dimension, so the drawing showed '6.3 TYP 6 PLACES', or do I have to type in the number of spokes manually?
I would always prefer to define the model fully and pull all the PMI into the drawing, rather than typing anything into the drawing. If the number of spokes is changed in the model, the drawing becomes incorrect if the number of spokes is typed in, but remains accurate if the pattern parameter is used.
Thanks in anticipation.
