H,I designed a part and export parasolid and then open in NX and some of the surfaces look faceted.
There does not seem to be any options or tolerances available, even in customer defaults.
The preferences visualization values do not seem to help.
On a part I can adjust to ultra fine and it will clear things up.

Thanks,Buddy.

Did you design this in NX?

What are the original surfaces/ faces type of geometry ?

I guess that the faceting You see is only graphical ,the underlying surface is smooth.
- All objects , surfaces and solids are displayed on the screen using graphical facets, the underlying surface is smooth but the graphics is depending on the number of display facets .
Try Right click-Update display.

Tomas

It only seems to do it when I export multiple body as parasolid. When I open the parasolid in NX it looks like the picture.

If I make one of the parts the work part all is good maybe I need to set something in assembly display settings.
Just bought NX 1899 series 1904.

Thanks, Buddy.

The newer versions of NX load a lightweight version of the assembly components by default. There should be an option in the assembly preferences and/or load options to turn this off if it is not desired. I'm not using this version yet, so I'm not sure exactly where to find the option. Also, I think you can right click a component in the assembly navigator and choose "show exact".
