Hello all,
New guy here studying for the CWI exam. Due to the price of prep courses and the number of guys I know that have taken them and still failed, I'm studying mainly using the internet and material given to me by other CWIs.
The chart on Appendix III contains various tolerances for angle, root face, and root opening. The two columns for each are "as detailed" and "as fitup".
I'm working on practice questions about the tolerances, and so far, all the answers came from adding the tolerances in the "as fitup" column to the given range.
What is the exact difference between the two? I can't find any full explanation of what exactly "as detailed" and "as fitup" are, at least not in the spec itself and not on Google!
Also, in which situations do we use the tolerances from the "as detailed" column to add to the range?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you
